Master Chefs- Cooking Around the World (ages 11 & Up) Aug 5-8
We think the best way to learn is by DOING! This 5-day cooking camp is all about hands-on learning. You will work in groups of 2 or 3 on every recipe. By the end of the week, you will be a master chef and will be tested on your new skills. On Friday, after 4 days of cooking dishes from around the globe, you will be handed a mystery bag of ingredients and a recipe and you will create it!
Day 1, Asia:
Salad Rolls
Thai Red Curry
Potstickers
Day 2, Mediterranean
Homemade Flat Bread
Hummus
Chicken Shawarma
Greek Salad
Tabbouleh
Day 3, Italy
Basics of Fresh Pasta- Fettucine & Handmade Ravioli
Sauces: Pesto, Marinara & Alfredo
Day 4, France
Crepes- Sweet & Savory
French Omelette
Bread
Day 5, Mystery Day! Each camper will be handed a mystery bag with ingredients and a recipe and will make it from scratch without help from the instructor. Its OK to ask for help from your peers (and if its a health or safety issue you can bet the instructor will jump right it!) At the end of the day, you will taste everyone's creations and will give each other feedback on presentation, taste etc.
