Anna Berry has just retired from teaching 3rd and 4th grade for 27 years at Forest Hills Elementary in Lake Oswego. She is now enjoying life as a busy retiree! She spends a lot of her time, when not substituting at Forest Hills, working in her small art studio space at home creating something whimsical out of the many odd objects and supplies she has collected over the years. She always enjoyed teaching art to her students so spent quite a bit of time over the years collecting and perfecting projects and techniques to add to her repertoire of ideas.
Anna grew up in Northwest Portland and graduated from Lincoln High School and the University of Oregon and then attended Portland State University for her teaching license. She has an 18 year old son, Sam, and a big furry devoted labradoodle named Willow. She spends a lot of time with her new husband, Elliot, and friends in the bluegrass music community playing mandolin and singing. Summertime is full of camping and late nights playing music at all of the local bluegrass festivals in Oregon and Washington.
